Historic and picturesque Widecombe in the Moor - Famous for its fair held on the second Tuesday in September. Uncle Tom Cobley, Tom Pearce and grey mare and all. Home to the National Trust’s Church House a fine two-storey granite building dating from c.1540.
Finch Foundry Museum in Sticklepath near Okehampton - Fascinating 19th-century water-powered forge in working order. From 1814 to 1960 produced edge tools, from hay and manure forks to shovels-Cornish, clay and wing turf them, for agriculture and mining in the South West.
RHS Rosemoor Gardens - Developed from 8 Acres gifted to the RHS by Lady Anne Berry in 1988, to create a garden of national importance laid out over a 65 acre estate overlooking the River Torridge Valley. Opened to the public in 1990. Formal gardens, cottages gardens, a potager, Lady Anne Garden, herbaceous borders, a fern gully, and stream and bog gardens. In summer the collection of roses is absolutely stunning. A lakeside walk. Vegetable garden, with some of the straightest rows you are likely to see.
